Jeremy and I saw a movie tonight, and I learned two important things.

One from the Keanu Reeves.

And one from Jeremy.

1. The trick to life is learning to live without an answer.... I think.

2. If raindrops were shaped differently, they would kill us.

I learned more than that, but those are the two most important things. And Jeremy is happy, and that makes me happy.
I ventured to Charlotte for Easter weekend since I am so far away from home.

Maggie and I had adventures.

I got to know her crazy family and cute pets, and I discovered high thread count sheets. I saw a good chunk of Charlotte thanks to Maggie's reliable '76 Mercedes deisel aka The Tank.

In our travels, we came across cute coffee shops, great vintage clothes stores, my parents' former home and hangouts, and a good ol' southern cookin' restaurant (of course) called Dish. or Plates. I can't remember. Maggie's gonna work there this summer.

We took the train back to campus.
tonight i attended an acoustic show. it was in this place called the skylight exchange by day (when it is a cafe slash bookstore slash record store), and the nightlight by night (when it is a bar slash venue). there are shelves of books to the ceiling on three walls and booths whose benches were all turned to the platform that is used as a stage. interesting people were in attendance as you would expect at a place like that. at one point, a yellow lab waddled over, sniffed maggie's knee, climbed up on the bench beside her, and laid her head down for a nap. i took over as the dog pillow when maggie got up to watch jason anderson's antics. he plays under the name wolf colonel. this is the first i've heard of him. steve white, he's your long lost twin. he's from new hampshire so you should catch a show if you haven't yet, i know you'd like him. he's on tour and i swear everything he said has come out of your mouth at one time or another. another act i enjoyed were the sisters. they had great voices. i enjoyed the songs but i liked the quiet sister the best. her voice was more humble. i dont think i deal with change very well, but tonight cheered me up. we road the p2p back to the dorm with an old friend (as old as a friend can get after only a few months).

well kids, things are looking up. the subject of the last entry is now my ex so to speak, and i have moved into a much more welcoming environment courtesy of kathryn, maggie, and katie as well as others. the walk is a tad bit further but it is very much worth it.

surgery will fix all my crohns-y woes if i am lucky, and i'm lookin forward to all that morphine or whatever they give you nowadays - medical miracles i say. people will pity me, and it will be nice to be home where more than two people are interested in visiting my sick ass. the nurses are way nicer at my bostonian children's hospital, too. i think i'll ask them if i can keep the 10cm of my body that they are removing. if anything just to freak them out. my mom wants them to take out my appendix too, ya know, "while theyre at it." ok sure mom, jeez. hopefully i'll have a killer scar to impress all the ladies.

in other news, thanksgiving is soon, but you all knew that. and i'm thinking of double majoring in communications with a concentration in media studies and production. i don't know that's kinda out of the blue. maybe i'll take a class next semester to make sure i really am interested in it. the only one offered is at 8am eek. suck it up? i think so. econ with maggie probably also. i keep changing my mind about my schedule. stressful, it is.

i will be attending a few unc basketball games in the near future... what??

i miss boston muchly, and living in an apartment on beacon hill with my two favorites is definitely something that i want to happen. it will happen. at some point. if only unc was in boston. but then it wouldnt be unc. it would be like unb or some shit. i dunno. wait and we shall see i suppose.

meteor shower tonight, but it is cloudy. damn clouds made me miss that lunar eclipse a while ago, too. maybe i should just go to the planetarium and see some fake astronomy shit.

hrm i was in a talkative mood wasn't i?

my roommate. her alarm clock has gone off at least 10 times this morning. it's saturday mind you. this started at around 7am. an hour and a half later and she's still not out of bed. she just sits up after it has been going off for about five minutes/when i yell at her to turn it off and presses snooze. then it goes off again 10-20 minutes later. oh there goes number 11. yesterday when she got back from working out (her FAVORITE part of the day she's told me many times) she proceeded to tell me about how excited she was that her friend was sending her the new tim mcgraw cd and how great he is in concert. not to mention she's afraid she's going to catch my genetic disease. oh the irony. hopefully she doesn't find this. i shouldn't worry. she thought thefacebook.com was a physical book. yet another reason why carolina is not exactly living up to my expectations.
